The Medical First Aid On Board Ship Refresher Course is designed for seafarers who already hold a valid Medical First Aid On Board Ship Certificate (STCW A-VI/4-1) that is nearing expiry. This refresher programme renews certification and reinforces participants’ competence to provide immediate and effective medical care in the event of accidents or illness on board a vessel.

Who Should Attend
This refresher course is intended for certificated officers and shipboard personnel, including those on port-limit vessels (such as helmsmen), who need to renew their Medical First Aid On Board Ship certification.

- Duration: 2 days
- Time: 9.00 am – 6.00 pm (each day) (excludes time for remediation and reassessment if required)
- Prerequisite: Valid (non-expired) Medical First Aid On Board Ship Certificate
- Accreditation: Complies with STCW A-VI/4-1 refresher requirements
